These new experiences will increase interactive engagement during live game broadcasts and standout events like NBA All-Star, Playoffs, and Finals.
In statements, Alibaba Group President Joe Tsai and NBA Vice President Mark Tatum emphasized the importance of the advanced artificial intelligence tools and cloud infrastructure that will be offered through this partnership. These technologies will facilitate fan access to real-time game data, highlights, and digital content across platforms.
Alibaba Cloud will develop a custom artificial intelligence model based on the Qwen core models for NBA China. This system will provide Chinese NBA app users with real-time highlights, player statistics, and interactive content. Additionally, the Real-Time 360-Degree Replay Solution to be offered during the China Games will showcase key moments to fans with multi-angle views.
Fans at NBA House will be able to create personalized NBA avatars and voice cloning features using Alibaba’s artificial intelligence tools. Furthermore, NBA China will enhance its digital platforms, such as the official website, mini programs, and applications, by integrating them into Alibaba Cloud’s infrastructure to improve data analytics and scalability.
