Security Breach at Aerodrome Finance

Aerodrome Finance, a decentralized exchange operating on the Base network of Coinbase, has been the target of a front-end attack. Attackers used domain name service (DNS) hijacking methods to redirect users to fake sites.

The attack did not affect the security of the underlying smart contracts. However, users are advised to avoid the compromised domains and to use decentralized Ethereum Name Service (ENS) alternatives for protocol access.

The details of the incident are still under investigation. It remains unclear whether users have incurred financial losses. Nevertheless, the Aerodrome team has been issuing warnings to cancel recent token approvals and not to sign transactions from unverified domains.
