Recently, a shocking claim has emerged in the world of cryptocurrency. Cobo founder Shenyu has announced that U.S. law enforcement has gained access to the private keys of 120,000 Bitcoin. However, the manner in which this situation has come to light is not a typical hack; it arises from a randomness flaw in the creation of wallets.

Shenyu stated that U.S. security forces were able to access the private keys of these Bitcoins due to a technical vulnerability. The issue stems from a defect in the pseudorandom number generator (PRNG) used to create the private keys. It has been noted that the system's use of a fixed pattern and offset has rendered the keys predictable.

The implications of this situation are significant; as this security flaw has affected more than 220,000 wallet addresses. Shenyu, known as DiscusFish, pointed out, “Even more interestingly, some people are still sending money to these addresses despite the known vulnerability.” Experts indicate that this security breach could not only jeopardize users' assets but also call into question the reliability of cold wallet manufacturers.

This incident is being regarded as one of the largest vulnerabilities in the history of crypto security and private key generation. If these claims are verified, it seems likely that not only the fate of 120,000 Bitcoin will be reconsidered but also crypto security standards will be reevaluated. Cryptocurrency investors should closely monitor these developments and reassess their wallet security.
