47th Istanbul Marathon: Victory for Kenyan and Ethiopian Athletes

The 47th Istanbul Marathon, organized by Spor Istanbul, a subsidiary of the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM), was held for the 47th time this year. This grand event, which holds the title of "the only marathon run between two continents in the world," brought together sports enthusiasts.

Men's Category: Kenyan Runner Kilimo at the Top

In the men's category of the marathon, Kenyan athlete Rhonzas Lokitam Kilimo finished the 42.195-kilometer course with a time of 2 hours 10 minutes 12 seconds, coming in first. Last year's champion Dejene Debela finished second with a time of 2 hours 10 minutes 23 seconds, while Ethiopian Sufaro Woli secured third place with a time of 2 hours 10 minutes 26 seconds.

Women's Category: Aderra's Championship

In the women's category of the 47th Istanbul Marathon, Ethiopian athlete Bizuager Aderra stood out by finishing first. Aderra successfully completed the marathon, showcasing the expected performance in the women's category. The event highlighted once again the importance of sports and endurance.
