Some of the largest transactions of the year include Coinbase's acquisition of Deribit for $2.9 billion, Kraken's purchase of NinjaTrader for $1.5 billion, and Ripple's acquisition of Hidden Road for $1.25 billion.

New Regulations Made an Impact

This substantial increase was also supported by the implementation of new compliance rules and the competition among firms eager to obtain licenses. A total of 11 crypto firms raised $14.6 billion as they entered the initial public offering process.
