Among the largest transactions of the year are Coinbase's acquisition of Deribit for 2.9 billion dollars, Kraken's purchase of NinjaTrader for 1.5 billion dollars, and Ripple's acquisition of Hidden Road valued at 1.25 billion dollars.

New Regulations Made an Impact

This significant increase was also supported by the competition among companies wanting to obtain licenses as new compliance rules came into effect. A total of 11 crypto firms raised 14.6 billion dollars as they entered the initial public offering process.
