


In Borsa Istanbul, the BIST 100 index closed the last week of 2025 with a decline. It registered a weekly decrease of 0.42 percent, closing at 11,294.37 points. Between December 22-26, 2025, the index tested a low of 11,228.55 and a high of 11,426.65 points. During this period, influenced by the New Year holiday in global markets, trading volumes decreased significantly, leading to a visibly horizontal and volume-less outlook in the BIST 100 index.
When examining the sector indices throughout the week, it was notable that the banking index experienced a significant loss, declining by 3.19 percent. On the other hand, the holding index fell 2.94 percent, while the industrial index saw a modest increase of 0.06 percent. This situation created uncertainty among investors, while some stocks stood out.
The stock that gained the most value within the BIST 100 was Oba Makarna (OBAMS), with an impressive increase of 15.45 percent. This was followed by Balsu Gıda (BALSU) with 14.97 percent and Katılım Evim (KTLEV) with 14.49 percent increases. The rise of these stocks caught the attention of investors.
Looking at the declining stocks, Efor Yatırım (EFOR) faced the largest loss of the week, dropping by 20.27 percent. Kontrolmatik (KONTR) fell by 10.89 percent, while 1000 Yatırımlar Holding (BINHO) recorded a decline of 8.03 percent.
In Borsa Istanbul, the company with the highest market value is ASELSAN (ASELS). The company's market value exceeded 1 trillion 31 billion 16 million TL, maintaining its leadership. Garanti BBVA (GARAN) stands at 585 billion 480 million TL, while Enka İnşaat (ENKAI) has a market value of 476 billion 700 million TL, ranking among the leading firms. The total weekly trading volume amounted to 460 billion 464 million TL with the most traded stocks including Türk Altın İşletmeleri (TRALT), İş Bankası (ISCTR), and ASELSAN (ASELS).
