


The Central Securities Depository (CSD) has published a comprehensive assessment of the developments in the capital markets for the year 2025. This report highlights important financial indicators and market dynamics. As of January 31, 2024, the total value of securities was recorded at 20.70 trillion lira, and it is expected to rise to 28.96 trillion lira by the end of December 2025.
During the same period, the number of registered investors rose from 36.21 million to 37.94 million. The number of investors with balanced accounts among the total investors was determined to be 10.64 million. The number of new investors who received a CSD registration number last year was recorded at 1,848,783.
Among the newly registered investors during this period, individual men formed the largest group, with 614,197 individuals from the 21-40 age range. The inclusion of 347,108 new female investors in this age group is considered an important development in terms of market diversity.
Public offerings conducted by 2025 had a great success. A total of 18 companies went public, raising 43.87 billion lira in financing through these offerings. The total number of investors participating in public offerings was recorded at 6,112,044.
By the end of last year, the portfolio size of equity securities was determined to be 17.33 trillion lira, with the number of investors in this area reaching 6.51 million. The portfolio value of investment funds is noteworthy at 8.52 trillion lira.
The portfolio size of Government Domestic Borrowing Instruments held by a total of 32,160 individual and institutional investors was determined to be 2.3 trillion lira. Additionally, the total nominal value of debt instruments issued by 980 companies reached 1 trillion 43 billion lira.
The issued amount of real estate certificates was 18.95 billion lira on August 11, while this amount was reported to have reached 16.39 billion lira in December. In crowdfunding, the amount raised in January was 1.16 billion lira, and this amount increased to 1.45 billion lira in December.
The number of investors participating in crowdfunding rose from 43,636 to 46,003. These developments present a very important picture in terms of illustrating the dynamic structure of Turkish capital markets and investor interest.
