


Turkcell has signed a significant agreement with Google Cloud to establish Turkey's first hyper-scale regional data center. This new data center will strengthen Turkey's digital infrastructure as one of Google's 42 hyper-scale data centers worldwide.
As part of the agreement, Google will provide a wide range of services including artificial intelligence, data storage, and cybersecurity from Turkey. This will enhance the competitiveness of Turkish companies in the international market.
Speaking at the launch meeting in San Francisco, Google Cloud CEO Thomas Kurian stated, “We have been working for 2.5 years to establish a data center in Turkey with Turkcell.” This statement highlights the importance of the collaboration.
Turkcell CEO Ali Taha Koç stated, “We are establishing a hyper-scale data center for the first time in Turkey. A historic step is being taken for Turkey.” Koç also added, “The Cloud Region we will establish in Turkey will be 100% compliant with Turkey’s regulations.”
