Trump Mobile, founded by former U.S. President Donald Trump’s sons, Donald Trump Jr. and Eric Trump, is delaying the launch of its T1 model smartphone. Due to rising costs, customers who placed pre-orders have yet to receive their T1 phones, months after the initially expected release date.
Interest in the T1 model smartphone turned into a pre-order system with a $100 deposit. However, over five months have passed in this process, and early customers are still waiting for their phones.
The T1 phone was initially scheduled to be launched in August, with a price set at just $499. Like its competitors, Trump Mobile promised services such as 24/7 roadside assistance and free international calls. However, as shipment dates have passed, the company's social media accounts have also gone silent. The last post was made on August 27.
Trump Mobile removed the shipping dates for the T1 model phone from its website and added refurbished Samsung and Apple phone options. Nevertheless, pre-orders for the T1 phones are still being accepted.
The T1 model is equipped with a gold-colored metal casing featuring the motif of the American flag. The device has a 6.8-inch size, a 120Hz refresh rate, and a hole-punch AMOLED display.
