Important Collaboration Between TotalEnergies and Google

TotalEnergies (TTE) has taken an important step to provide renewable energy to Google’s (GOOG) data centers in Ohio. The company signed a 15-year agreement through which TotalEnergies will supply 1.5 terawatt-hours (TWh) of certified renewable electricity annually from the Montpelier Solar Power Plant in Ohio.

Stéphane Michel, head of TotalEnergies’ Gas, Renewable Energy and Electricity unit, emphasized the significance of the agreement, stating, “This agreement showcases TotalEnergies’ capacity to meet the energy needs of major technology companies by leveraging our integrated renewable and flexible energy portfolio. It also has the potential to contribute to our 12% profitability target in the electricity sector.”
