The Söke district of Aydın has taken urgent measures due to the risk of avian influenza stemming from migratory birds, as stated by the Söke District Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry. In response to the increasing risk, the district has entered a state of alert to prevent the spread of avian influenza.
In a statement from the Söke District Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry, it was indicated that "due to the risk of avian influenza from migratory birds, restrictions have been imposed on the use of outdoor access for all poultry." Accordingly, it was emphasized that poultry raised outdoors must be taken into closed housing.
Additionally, it was noted that wild birds obtained from hunting activities should not come into contact with both live and dead domestic birds. It is also crucial for animal health that feeding is not done outdoors and that feeders and waterers are not kept in the external environment. It was stated that these measures announced to producers must be implemented continuously.
Attention poultry producers!
