Ripio announced the wARS stablecoin backed by the Argentine Peso.

Ripio, one of the leading cryptocurrency exchanges in Latin America, has launched a new stablecoin called wARS that is pegged to the Argentine peso.

This token, backed by the peso, enables users to send and receive money globally without relying on banks. Additionally, it can facilitate cross-border payments with local currencies in Latin America without the need to convert to US dollars.

The launch of wARS comes after Ripio previously announced a tokenized sovereign bond and is part of a broader effort to integrate real-world assets into blockchain infrastructure.
