Today, one third of the world's population lives within these limits, especially the Middle East, North Africa, and South Asia regions feel this situation the most severely.

Turkey's Water Problem

Not a water-rich country, Turkey is rapidly heading towards water scarcity due to increasing population, decreasing rainfall, and ineffective irrigation methods. In addition to the amount of water, its quality is also declining, and 25 out of 81 provinces in the country are struggling with "high water stress" significantly.

Water is said to be not only an environmental but also a financial risk factor. Events such as drought, floods, and water scarcity directly affect supply chains, investment decisions, and insurance systems, particularly in the food, energy, and manufacturing sectors.
