Home Depot Canada Foundation Launches Year-End Donation Campaign

The Home Depot Canada Foundation is launching its annual Orange Door Project holiday campaign from November 12 to December 21, 2025, aimed at preventing and ending youth unemployment in Canada. Building on the success of previous campaigns, this holiday season aims for a target of 1 million dollars, alongside the 1.13 million dollars raised in the 2025 spring campaign.

In Canada, where over 35,000 youth experience homelessness throughout the year, this campaign contributes to significant change. Doug Graham, Chair of the Board of The Home Depot Canada Foundation and Vice President of E-Commerce and Marketing at The Home Depot Canada, stated, "Each year, the Orange Door Project campaign supports organizations that serve youth in the community. With the support of our customers and employees, we are committed to this important cause."

Canadians can support the Orange Door Project Campaign by donating at any Home Depot Canada store or online at OrangeDoorProject.ca. All donations collected will go directly to 127 local youth organizations in the communities they serve. Notably, on Giving Tuesday, which falls on December 2, The Home Depot Canada Foundation will match all donations made in-store and online to amplify the impact of contributions.

In addition to donations, customers can contribute to ending youth unemployment by purchasing The Home Depot Canada‘s return products. Through the returning “buy one, give one” promotion, 30,000 pairs of thick winter socks will be distributed to local youth in need for every two pairs purchased. Since 2021, a total of 22,000 socks have been distributed to 180 communities, providing warmth and comfort to youth in particular. The Home Depot Canada continues to sell high-quality hats through its ongoing partnership with Raising the Roof, with proceeds directed toward community grants that support the renovation of affordable housing units for at-risk youth. Since 2021, over 1 million dollars has been granted to Raising the Roof and partner agencies from hat sales.

The Home Depot Canada Foundation is committed to preventing and ending youth unemployment in Canada. It aims to remove barriers faced by youth through community partnerships and promote pathways to healthy change. It has pledged to provide a total of 125 million dollars in support by 2030.

In 2024, The Home Depot Canada Foundation supported various programs with 11.1 million dollars in grants to 182 charities. Our volunteer employees contributed over 46,500 hours of volunteer work through Team Depot. Furthermore, 100% of the stores participated in community events. Thanks to the Team Depot volunteer program, our employees actively contribute to community projects that renovate shelters, housing units, and youth centers, providing safe spaces for vulnerable youth.
