


According to data announced by the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey (CBRT), as of September 2023, Turkey's current account has recorded a surplus of 1 billion 112 million dollars.
The current account balance excluding gold and energy has recorded a surplus of 6.803 million US dollars. This situation clearly demonstrates the momentum in Turkey’s foreign trade balance.
The trade deficit defined by the balance of payments reached 5 billion 356 million dollars. According to annualized data, the current account deficit in September was approximately 20.1 billion dollars, and the trade deficit defined by the balance of payments was 64.8 billion dollars.
During the same period, the services balance recorded a surplus of 62.6 billion dollars, while the primary and secondary income balances registered deficits of 17.6 billion dollars and 308 million dollars, respectively. These figures reflect Turkey’s strong performance in the services sector.
