


According to the data released by the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey (CBRT), as of September 2023, Turkey's current account has recorded a surplus of 1 billion 112 million dollars.
The current account excluding gold and energy recorded a surplus of 6.803 million USD. This situation clearly reflects the momentum in Turkey's foreign trade balance.
The trade deficit defined by the balance of payments stood at 5 billion 356 million dollars. According to annualized data, the current account deficit in September was approximately 20.1 billion dollars, and the trade deficit defined by the balance of payments was 64.8 billion dollars.
During the same period, the services balance provided a surplus of 62.6 billion dollars, while the primary and secondary income balances recorded deficits of 17.6 billion dollars and 308 million dollars, respectively. These figures demonstrate Turkey's strong performance in the service sector.
