President Erdoğan's Statement on Istanbul Rents

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan made important statements at the opening ceremony of the Atatürk Airport Nation Park. Erdoğan pointed out the high rental prices in Istanbul, emphasizing that everyone is aware of this situation.

15 Thousand Residential Units to Be Rented

Erdoğan stated that they will rent 15 thousand residential units in Istanbul with favorable conditions in cooperation with TOKİ. He also announced that social housing projects will be completed as soon as possible. The President highlighted the importance of the urban transformation process, stating, "The state, municipalities, and citizens must come together to rapidly resolve this issue."

Nation Parks and Disaster Management

Erdoğan expressed that nation parks reflect beautiful examples of the politics of services. He mentioned that a total of 313 nation parks have been constructed across Turkey, with 34 of them completed in Istanbul. Noting the importance of gathering areas during the February 6 earthquakes, Erdoğan also revealed that at least 40 thousand tents could be set up in the Atatürk Airport Nation Park in the event of a disaster.
