BIST 100 Index on the Rise in Borsa Istanbul

The BIST 100 index in Borsa Istanbul completed this week with a 0.27 percent increase, finishing at 10,971.52 points.

Throughout the week, the index's lowest level was 10,816.89 points, while the highest level reached 10,994.41 points.

Index Figures

Other important indices belonging to Borsa Istanbul also showed an upward trend. The financial index increased by 2.19 percent to 15,617.70 points, the industrial index rose by 1.53 percent to 14,351.61 points, and the technology index gained 0.87 percent to reach 26,797.13 points. However, the services index dropped by 0.60 percent to 10,997.19 points.

Star of the Week: Margün Enerji

Among the BIST 100 index, Margün Enerji Üretim Sanayi ve Ticaret AŞ stood out as the stock with the highest gain, rising 26.52 percent.

Changes in Gold Prices and Dollar Rates

The gram price of 24-carat gold closed the week with a 1.96 percent decrease at 5,431.4 lira. The Republic gold also fell by 1.95 percent to 36,640 lira.

The selling price of the dollar increased by 0.19 percent to 42.0490 lira, while the euro decreased by 0.59 percent to 48.5610 lira.

Last week, the selling price of the British pound was 56.0330 lira, which declined by 1.50 percent to 55.1920 lira this week. Additionally, the Swiss franc was traded at 52.3350 lira with a decrease of 0.95 percent.
