


Borsa İstanbul gave hope to investors with a strong opening. The BIST 100 index, which reached 10,655.66 points, showed an increase of 79.21 points and 0.75 percent compared to the previous closing, indicating that investors are in a positive atmosphere.
The banking sector, which drew investors' attention, increased by 0.87 percent and supported the index, while the holding index presented a positive outlook with a 0.45 percent increase. Among sector indices, mining emerged as the biggest gainer with an increase of 3.92 percent. On the other hand, the tourism sector stood out as the only losing sector, declining by 0.22 percent.
Analysts emphasize the importance of the current account balance to be released domestically, as well as the Consumer Price Index (CPI) in Germany and weekly mortgage applications in the United States. According to technical analyses, the BIST 100 index has resistance levels at 10,700 and 10,800, while support positions are found at 10,600 and 10,500.
The Balance of Payments data, which will be announced today by the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey (TCMB), is eagerly awaited by investors. According to the expectation survey conducted by AA Finance, 18 economists anticipate a surplus of 1 billion 460 million dollars in the current account balance for September. Current surplus expectations range between 850 million dollars and 3 billion 600 million dollars. Economists predict that the current account deficit for 2025 will be 21 billion 316 million dollars.
