


Borsa İstanbul has given hope to investors with a strong opening. The BIST 100 index reached 10,655.66 points, showing an increase of 79.21 points and 0.75 percent compared to the previous close, indicating that investors are in a positive mood.
The banking sector, which has caught the attention of investors, gained 0.87 percent, supporting the index, while the holding index also displayed a positive picture with a 0.45 percent increase. Among the sector indices, mining emerged as the biggest gainer, rising by 3.92 percent. On the other hand, the tourism sector stood out as the only losing sector, declining by 0.22 percent.
Analysts emphasize the importance of the current account balance to be announced domestically and the Consumer Price Index (CPI) in Germany and weekly mortgage applications in the USA abroad. According to technical analyses, the BIST 100 index has resistance levels at 10,700 and 10,800, while the support positions are at 10,600 and 10,500.
The balance of payments data to be announced today by the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey (CBRT) is eagerly awaited by investors. According to a survey conducted by AA Finance, 18 economists predict a surplus of 1 billion 460 million dollars in the current account for September. Current surplus expectations range from 850 million dollars to 3 billion 600 million dollars. Economists estimate that the current account deficit for 2025 will be 21 billion 316 million dollars.
