


The Minister of Culture and Tourism, Mehmet Nuri Ersoy, made a comprehensive presentation regarding the 2026 budget in the Turkish Grand National Assembly's Plan and Budget Commission. Ersoy announced the $50 billion tourism revenue obtained during the January-September 2025 period to emphasize Turkey's success in the tourism sector. This revenue is of critical importance for Turkey's economic stability and the rise of tourism.
In a statement following the presentation, Deputy Minister of Culture and Tourism Batuhan Mumcu stated that they will work decisively for the development of the sector. Mumcu expressed that Turkey's tourism potential will be further increased, and he reported that various strategies are being developed by the ministry. He emphasized that these strategies would make our country even more competitive in the international tourism market.
Additionally, Mumcu referenced the investments that will be made in line with the goal of increasing tourism revenues, highlighting the importance of providing quality service. He stated that various projects will be implemented to ensure sustainability in the tourism sector. In this context, he underlined that both domestic and foreign investments will be supported, expressing that steps are being taken to strengthen tourism infrastructure.
Mumcu pointed out that the role of digitalization and technology in the tourism sector is becoming increasingly important, stating that innovations made in these areas will further advance the sector. He also emphasized that experience-oriented approaches in tourism would be widespread and that necessary preparations would be made for this. In this way, visitors will be enabled to create unforgettable memories in Turkey.
