


The Minister of Culture and Tourism Mehmet Nuri Ersoy made a comprehensive presentation regarding the 2026 budget at the Budget and Planning Commission of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey. Ersoy announced the $50 billion tourism revenue obtained during the January-September 2025 period to emphasize Turkey's success in the tourism sector. This revenue is critical for Turkey’s economic stability and the rise of tourism.
In a statement following the presentation, the Deputy Minister of Culture and Tourism Batuhan Mumcu stated that they would work decisively for the development of the sector. Mumcu expressed that Turkey's tourism potential would be further increased and mentioned that the ministry is developing various strategies. He emphasized that these strategies would make the country even more competitive in the international tourism market.
In addition, Mumcu touched upon the investments to be made in line with the goal of increasing tourism revenue, highlighting the importance of providing quality service. He stated that various projects would be implemented to ensure sustainability in the tourism sector. In this context, Mumcu underlined that local and foreign investments would be supported and that they are working on steps to strengthen the tourism infrastructure.
Especially noting that the role of digitalization and technology in the tourism sector is becoming increasingly important, Mumcu said that innovations made in these areas would further advance the sector. He also emphasized that experience-based approaches in tourism would be widespread and that necessary efforts would be made for this purpose.
