From November 18th, customs procedures for domestically plated vehicles are accelerating.

A new regulation regarding the instantaneous transfer of data related to registered vehicles in Turkey to the Ministry of Trade systems will come into effect at all customs administrations starting from November 18. This system will particularly allow for the acceleration of processes at border gates and will provide significant conveniences for owners of domestic license plates.

In a statement made by the Ministry of Trade, the aim is to optimize customs procedures for domestically plated vehicles with the instantaneous transfer of traffic registry records. This important development will speed up vehicle buying and selling processes and contribute to making customs operations more transparent. The reduction of waiting times at customs for domestically plated vehicles will also positively affect their import and export processes.

The mentioned innovation will not only accelerate trade processes but also reduce the workload of customs officials working at border gates, thereby increasing efficiency. With instantaneous data transfer, the likelihood of errors is expected to decrease, and the process is anticipated to be carried out more healthily. It is projected that there will be a noticeable decrease in waiting times at the border gates, where many domestically plated vehicles pass each year, with the implementation of this system.

Additionally, this application will contribute to the overall structure of the industry by continuously developing in cooperation with customs directorates. The faster and more efficient execution of all customs processes related to domestically plated vehicles will also contribute to economic growth.
